Thank you for your interest in finding out a little more about Burnt Store Colony.  We’re proud of our community and are always excited about new people finding out about BSC.  Below are short descriptions of our facilities and amenities available to members of our community.  
 
Banquet Hall
 
The BSC Banquet Hall is a multi-functional 4900 SF building constructed in 2003.  With a capacity of 290 persons, it is large enough to provide the main venue for conducting all Resident Owners business meetings.
 
The building is also where residents meet for Saturday morning coffees, dinners, dances, concerts, bingo, exercise classes and on-going social activities at the park.  Some specifics of the building are as follows:
  • Equipped with a ceiling projector, which can be connected to computer and displayed on large wall hung screen.
  • An Industrial kitchen with large commercial refrigerator and freezer, three commercial stoves, food preparation tables, serving window and a full complement of pots, pans, baking trays, ice machine and serving items.
  • Restroom facilities.
  • Large smart TV with DVD and WiFi connected internet. 
  • AED (automated external defibrillator) voice activated life-saving device.
  • Available for private events with prior reservations.    
 
 
 
Clubhouse
 
The BSC Clubhouse is a smaller, multi-functional building which was the original main meeting venue before the new Banquet Hall was built.   It has a capacity of 155 persons and includes the main assembly area, kitchen, library, fitness center, restrooms and access to the pool.  Specifics are as follows:
  • Two Pool tables and a collapsible .
  • Kitchen and dining area with two stoves, two refrigerators, freezer, center work area and a serving window.  Available for private events with prior reservation.large storage area stores seasonal decorations and various weight equipment.
  • Two pool tables and a shuffleboard table.
  • Library with five game tables and chairs (see separate description).
  • Fitness Center (see separate description)
  • Memorial Wall, Suggestion Box.
  • Hallway bulletin board provides sign-up sheets for the neighborhood watch, sports and recreation activities, volunteer opportunities, homes for sale or rent, new resident pictures, and various safety information.
Fitness Center
 
The fitness center is located in the Clubhouse and is open to residents, who have signed the required release form.  Supervised training is not provided, however use instructions are posted on the wall.

Pool and Spa
 
The BSC Pool and spa is fully caged for bug and leaf free enjoyment of all residents.  The pool is heated or cooled for year-round comfort and provides a venue for residents to swim laps, participate in morning water aerobics classes or just relax with friends and family.  
 
Some specifics of the pool and spa follows:
  • Outdoor speaker system for music enjoyment or use for exercise classes.
  • Shower for rinsing off prior to entering the pool or spa.
  • Emergency rescue equipment
  • Pool chaise lounge chairs for sun bathing.
  • Tables with umbrellas and chairs.
  • Hot Tub designed for a maximum of 6 persons.
 
 
 
 
Library
 
The library is located in the Clubhouse and contains a large volume of books, puzzles and games for the enjoyment of all residents.  The library is also used as a small group meeting center and to play various board and card games.    
 
 
 
Woodpeckers Building
 
The Woodpecker’s Club is a chartered club of Burnt Store Colony and maintains this building.  Membership is open to all residents of the park with annual dues of $20 and a signed waiver.  The building has lawn care equipment, metal, plumbing, building and a vast array of woodworking tools.  Members are willing to share their expertise with those who may not be familiar with a tool.  There are also the training classes offered to members.  Most hand tools, power tools and lawn care equipment are available for checkout.  Information is available by attending a monthly Saturday meeting or contacting one of the board members.  
 
There is a golf cart, a gas-powered utility vehicle and a flatbed trailer are available to the community with prior approval from the office.  These are park owned but under the Woodpecker's care and maintenance.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Storage Compound
 
The Compound is a white fenced area is located on the SE corner of the park and provides parking for boats, trailers, RVs and extra vehicles and is available to all residents of the park.  There is a parking fee of $100.00 for seven months or $180.00 for the year to secure a space after completion of an application form and payment.  Registration and insurance are also required.
 
 
Visitor parking is against the Woodpeckers building in the compound.  There is no cost for visitors to park next to the building marked V1, V2, etc. The office will provide a visitor parking sticker and parking space number which should be placed in your window. 
 
Dog Park
 
BSC is a dog friendly park with many residents having their favorite pet.  As such we do have a large fenced-in dog park for fido to romp and play in.  Picking up after your pet is a requirement both in the dog park and throughout the rest of the park.  The size of the pet is limited to 30 pounds at maturity with a maximum of 2 pets per household. 
 
 
 
 
Tennis and Pickleball
 
There are two tennis courts and four pickleball courts along with rackets and paddles available for residents and guests.  The courts are open to all residents anytime during the day.  Early mornings brings residents out to fill the courts year round but especially during the winter months.  
 


 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Bocce Ball and Shuffleboard
 
There are two Bocce Ball courts and six Shuffleboard lanes.  Leagues of both are formed during each winter season but the facilities are available to all residents anytime.  Balls, pucks and shuffleboard sticks are available for residents to use.
